BOO
I had no idea that Justice sampled Goblin, but that just proves I have much to learn. Halloween was a few weeks ago already, but you can still get spooky if you want. The song is the theme from Dario Argento's Tenebre, and it's pretty great on its own, even after Justice disappears.

I´m really far away from fun, i´m at work almost all the time and forced to live in the middle of nowhere, but i still have my memories...Golden nights, money and good looking people, please embrace me again... I like this song:

If it were a perfect world, and this blog had more readers, I know people would realize that this is the apex of beauty. If anyone has any more Diana Est, or can recommend something similar, please comment!!

Plastic Doll
This is one of the italo classics, which surprisingly is a bit difficult to find. Once I tried to mash it with Transexual. I called it Plastic Tranny. It didn't sound that great. I'm working on it. Anyway, here's Dharma. Absolutely Essential.

CATO CANARI
The song was released already in 2005 so it´s probably not news for everybody but since it´s such a good song i just couldn´t help myself... It´s like a modern day city nightclub mantra.
Cato Canari - baby ( i love you so )

FANCY COVER
I prefer this one, if we're being honest with one another.
Ago is Agostino Presta, some Italian creep. Also, the unidentified backup singer in the video is a mastadon.

CHROMATICS
Chromatics are in with the Italians Do It Better gang, which I think we should all be looking out for.
After all, there's only so much Ed Banger a man can physically handle. Dark and moody, and heavily inspired by the synth bands of the early 80s, mixed with some later 80s italo.
Chromatics - Running Up That Hill
Chromatics - Night Drive

IVAN
Ivan is from Spain, and I don't know where he is now, but if I had to bet, I'd say he's masquerading as one of the Junior Boys. Listen for yourself.

MUSIC FOR WINNERS!

http://www.johannesrojola.com/
I´m starting to like Finland more and more and whoever said that the finnish language sounds funny when it´s sung? It´s a complete lie, it´s sounds perfectly great to me. The song Lennetään Avaruustanssiin is finnish italo sung in finnish and it´s really great. I don´t know what Johannes Rojola is singing about but it sounds nice anyway. His other two tracks in this post are more of electro nature, also very very good
Johannes Rojola - Meat From Boers
Johannes Rojola - Lennetään Avaruustanssiin

APPALOOSA
Finally! A lot of the mail we get at Radio No. 1 has nothing to do with what we're blogging about. But then Appaloosa showed up in our inbox.
Appaloosa seem to have almost no exposure, but that's what we're in the business of. Cat Power seems to be nuts about them judging from the crazed message she left on their myspace. Good enough for us.
Anyhow, here you have it, my favourite Berliners of the moment, Appaloosa:

P A S S I O N B O Y S
Laszlo and Gyorgy come from Bataszek, a small village very near Budapest. And here is how they describe their music: "We are make some music very much like name Passion Boys. We like make music about sexy ladie and nice music also." How can you dislike them when they put it like that? Passion Boys are looking for DJ- gigs in Europe and actually the whole world so if you have a club or something going on, send them a message.
You can find further info on their myspace:

nouveau italo
If Cloetta Paris pulls a Sally Shapiro and refuses to perform, I'll just die. Cloetta Paris is from Stockholm, and yes, she does sound like Sally, but since when was Italo about sounding different?
I can only hope that this is just the start of a new wave. Sounds like a valerie Dore making out with Fun Fun (nicely though. No tongue.) Please, somebody sign her right now!
(I couldn't decide which ones were best, so just take them all.)
Cloetta Paris - I Miss You Someone
Cloetta Paris - Broken Heart Tango
Cloetta Paris - Save Your Love

Pet Shop Boys
Hi, here's an old Pet Shop Boys German Maxi release, a mashup of West End Girls & Sunglasses At Night (not the Corey Hart version -- some strange German cover) followed by a dub mix of One More Chance.

new wave présente la nouvelle vague
Nouvelle Vague didn't invent cover versions, you know. So this time, instead of reinterpreting for themselves, Nouvelle Vague has compiled their favourite covers performed by all the best artists of the new wave scene and put them all onto Nouvelle Vague Presents: New Wave. Included are all the greats: Gary Numan, Visage, Devo, and even Telex for posterity.
Here's two of the best from the compilation, they're even mixed!
Comateens - Summer In The City (The Lovin' Spoonful cover)
Visage - In The Year 2525 (Zager and Evans cover)

OZ
I've never met so many Australians in my life as I have this year. Maybe it's that horrible drought that's terrorizing their continent. Anyway, I guess I'll give them some notice:
Also, in Australia, people would call me Dazzer for short. They told me so.

Teenaged Remix
In between 14 hour work days and hiding from my anal roommate (I am not cleaning the bathroom everytime I use it, I don't care what he says), I've managed to learn to computer hack mp3 downloads from myspace. I've been waiting for some danceable Air music, so here's what sounds like a demo version (the end cuts off a little bit). A Radio No. 1 myspace hacking exclusive, as far as I know at least.

Ok, let's get serious.
Here's a hard to find track also produced by Bobby O. I know there's more out there somewhere, but that would probably involve paying money and I've only got 73p and a few Swedish crowns left to my name. So until then,

After you get the fuckin' power,
Muthafuckas will respect you."
